Etched Glass
We can etch glass by two methods : sandblasting or acid etching
Abrasive media etching produces a permanent fine white etch on the surface of the glass. We can produce your design by either a single layer outline etch or a multi layered effect by multiple etching and carving deep into the glass. The glass is masked to protect the areas to be left uneffected and the mask is cut to the design required. The effect created is very elegant and is perfect for producing privacy with style.

The photos above are of a beautiful sand blast etched design using a hand cut stencil the laminated glass was deep cut by carving the glass using a hand held blasting gun. The effect is a stunning pair of doors with an intricate design with real depth and character.

These pictures are from St. Anne's Church in Accrington where we made some new etched glass with a Trifoil Cross design. The design was carved into the glass using sand blasting in multiple stages to create the detailed design.
